Books to Trade with Fossils

Posted by Jim on January 02, 1999 at 12:44:42:

Hi,

This e-mail is directed at the collectors / students of Palaeozoic fossils
among you who may be interested in trading fossils for books in my personal
library for which I have no personal use.

Over the years I've subscribed, among others, to the Palaeontographical
Society of London which issues a volume of Monographs each year (usually
between two and three parts covering a variety of fossil groups). This
means that as well as Monographs that I have a potential use for there are
many that are outside my fields of interest. In my neck of the woods we
don't have any surface Palaeozoic rocks so my interests are nowadays firmly
focused on Mesozoic and Tertiary fossil groups although I still like to
collect and display nice trilobites (who doesn't).

For convenience I would prefer to part with all of these books in exchange
for quality cabinet display fossils. Could be a single specimen if the
quality is right. The only other stipulation is that the buyer will have
to pick up the tab for shipping and insurance.

This is a complete alphabetical list of all of the Pal. Soc. Monographs that
I have to trade. There are some complete Monographs / Sets but others are
individual Parts. It is still possible to buy missing parts directly from
the Pal. Soc. Parts are all A4 size with blue card covers. All are in
very good condition (most of them completely unopened). I estimate the
total value of these books at around five-hundred pounds sterling plus
shipping.

If you are interested mail me directly to: hv89@dial.pipex.com

Best wishes for the New Year.

Jim
