It was formerly assigned to Isurus, and was redescribed by Capetta I believe. It's one of the few large lamniform genera that everyone agrees upon.
Anyway, the specimens are from the Pliocene Raysor Fm. of S. Carolina, and all in very good condition, as well as quite possibly being from the same animal.
