:Hi, Chuck! I have visited a couple quarries not far from Vero. Quarries are catch as catch can, sometimes you can get in, or sometimes you can find one not being mined and can get in. West of lake Okeechobee is the Caloosahatchee River, the banks of which contain many and varied fossils (mollusks and other invertebrates as well as vertebrates - horse, mamoth, turtle, and shark.) I suspect that any of the rivers in the area are possibilities. Good luck, Don
