I personally can't help you with your interest but I
know of a place that might. In Ithaca,NY is organization called the Paleontological Research Institute, that specializes and curates the largest
collection of paleo and modern shells, also has probably the largest library on the extinct & extant.
The quickest exchange of info would be to go to their

the site has a lot to offer but if you contact them
you could find out if they can help with your needs.
