several characteristic shapes and vary between +/- 4-6cm. It takes between
3-7 days to dissolve the concretions using the dilutions we used. A change
of the HCl was usually necessary midway. There is no need to use resin to
cover the specimens as they are composed of silicon dioxide in the form
of chalcedony.
