| HAVE FOSSILS FOR TRADING?: Online Fossil Trade Show Trade fossils with fellow collectors! | |||||||
Firstly I want to thank Mr. Guide... (I assume the guide is a Mister only cuz I'm a mister). Thanks for dealing with all the idiot spammers that have been inundating this forum. They are one part of the evil underbelly of the internet. This forum and other cool sites, on the other hand are the glowing mating plumage of the internet. Anyway, here's a picture of an Eocene mammal tooth I found a few years ago. I've been prepping some other Eocene stuff for another guy and thought I'd take a few pix of this one while I was pixing them others. The doubnle photo is a steroe pair, looking down on the chewing surface. It is an upper molar. The single photo is a side shot. I did a little preliminary research last night and I think this thing is an arctocyonid, which is some sort of primitive carnvirous critter. I've been busy at work and at home preparing for a talk I'm giving this Friday evening... "Fossil birds of Wyoming" If any of you will be in Casper on Friday... its at 7PM in the Oil and Gas Comission Bldg... Old Dead Things, will you be there? I totally spaced mentioning it when you popped in the other day. jpc |
