It doesn't look like modern or even Miocene or Oligocene teeth, but it does look a lot like many Eocene teeth. Condylarths were pretty common back then, and that's what this thing is. I had thought that arctocyonids were carnivorous, but I may be wrong on that one. So let's say it wasn't.

: I like this big pic. JP, it has an awful lot of ridges and valleys even for a mammal tooth. Doesn't look like other mammal teeth that I have seen on the web. Do you know what kinds of things that it ate?
